Department of Computer Science on behalf of ComptronicS Club planned and visited an Orphanage “AWAKE MERCY HOME” in Maniyakaranpatti near kannivadi on 21/09/2018 (Friday) with 15 students from final year and 8 faculty members. The home consists of 69 students with different age group from 5 to 19 years old. The Students received us with a warm welcome.The students are very eager to hear from us the purpose of our arriving.
The Home in-charge Mrs.Elshiba welcomed the Club members and faculties. The ComptronicS club Secretary Mr.Mithrankumar welcomed the gathering and gave an introduction to our department faculties. Followed by the members of the club, they have an interaction session with the kids.An awareness video on “CellPhone Usage” was played to the children. Biscuit packets and sweets were distributed to the children.
The students were divided into various groups based on their standards and allocated to two members of the club with laptops. Each group was taught with basic levels of Software like MS-Word,Power Point, and Paint by our Club members. The students were very eagerly involved in learning and they practically worked with it.
After training session three games were conducted for the children. On behalf of
ComptronicS club amount of Rs.3000/- was given to the management to provide lunch on that date. The children gave feedback about the training.
